Straight Babson Egyptian Stallion
1977 - 2000
Ibn Mahrouf came to visit us on lease for a few months in early 1999 at age twenty-two before going to his new home with Alice Ulm of Indiana.

Ibn Mahrouf sired forty foals registered from 1981 through 2001.
He sired two straight Babson fillies during his stay here bringing his total number of Babson foals to
five. His Babson replacements are:

He has several replacements in other Al Khamsa groups as well as being represented in other Sheykh Obeyd groups. He had a rare Babson pedigree having no lines to the prolific Ibn Fa-Serr. His line in that diversity group continues through the desendents of the 1997 bay mare Sah Shahrah (x Sah Adayah).
| Ibn Mahrouf was a
lovely stallion, leggy, graceful and fluid in movement. He was easy
to handle and a very nice horse to be around. We greatly enjoyed his
visit.
Ibn Mahrouf was a full brother to Bint Serr Abba who had been successfully shown at halter by the Babson farm. His dam, Serr Abba, was a lovely black mare, quite popular with Babson Farm visitors. Ibn Mahrouf is a 3/4 brother to the 1963 bay Babson stallion Fa-Serrab (Fabah x Serr Abba) |

His Babson daughter at Bint Al Bahr is Nefrett. She is now owned by Dr. Keith Kosel of Texas.
