The Babson Arabian is categorized by the Arabian horse community as Al Khamsa, Straight Egyptian and Sheykh Obeyd. During the decades of the 1970s and 1980s Babson Arabian mares were sought after and used as an outcross for the new Egyptian bloodlines.  While some wonderful horses resulted from these crosses, the birthrate of Straight Babsons decreased accordingly.  There are less than 250 Straight Babson Arabians left in today's world breeding population.  

Straight Babson Egyptian Arabians trace in ALL lines of their pedigree to the historic 1932 importation from Egypt by Henry Babson.  Babsons are known for their athletic abilities, correct conformation, quiet willing dispositions and serene beauty.

Bint Al Bahr Arabians has gathered a select group of these historic horses. They have been chosen for their pedigree diversity, beauty and strong movement. Our mission is to insure that these rare lines stay available for future breeders.  Babson Arabians have a rich history and a bright future in the Arabian world.
