Kamah Sharif

Kamah Sharif - 2012		Kamah Sharif is named for his grandsire Kamars Sharif. The "mah" portion is used to honor his dam's grandsire Mah Hab. Both of these fine Babson stallions captured our hearts many years ago. This lovely 2010 stallion brings the Kamars Sharif branch of the Fabah sireline down another generation after this line was nearly lost. Due to scarcity of Babson mares in Wyoming during his lifetime, Kamars Sharif only sired one SBE (Straight Babson Egyptian) colt is his long lifetime, the 1982 black stallion Ru Fadl Esswad.

Ru Fadl Esswad had only sired one SBE foal, a 1996 daughter when he came to us in late 2008. That lovely chestnut daughter Zaaroulette had been tragically lost in colic surgery the summer before, leaving him again with no SBE desendents. He is now replaced with 4 SBE foals. It was an honor that Ru Fadl Esswad lived out the rest of his life with us here at Bint Al Bahr.

Kamah Sharif's dam Fabah Mahrena is also the dam of Region 7 Champion and Scottsdale Top Ten Trail Horse Fabah Serr. She is a very pretty mare with a beautiful head, daughter of our treasured foundation mare Bint Roulett and the elegant Ahmed Fabah, grandson of 1932 Babson imports *Fadl and *Bint Bint Sabbah.
