A New Filly for the Lothar Line of Babsons!

A bay filly, Serabahs Sable Gem (AHR #0592410) was born March 23rd, 2002. She is part of a rare group within Babsons. With her birth, there are now five Babson Arabians in today's population with Lothar (*Fadl X Habba) in the pedigree. The mare, SSH Serahsaafa, owned by Elizabeth Dawsari carries a line to Lothar. The sire of this filly is Masada Ben Asar. See the page for Lothar for more information of this special group. |

Bedu Sabir X Almoraima Alegria Filly!

March 15, 2002 at high noon --- A new Bedu Sabir Babson filly was born! The proud dam is Almoraima Alegria (Midbar Fa Rabdan X Fa Mahrouf). The proud owner is Elizabeth Dawsari. The filly is all bay with a tiny spot on a front heel. We saw her at only 2 hours old and she was already cantering and playing. Congratulations to Elizabeth and Nick on a strong beautiful filly. This filly adds another mare to the Khebir line in the Babson group. |
| Daytime foaling?? I had Alegria here for a while while she was waiting to be bred and checked in foal. Alegria and I are old buddies. I explained to her over a bucket of her favorite cookies, as I do all my mares, about the comforts of foaling in the sunshine. "You won't be cold and wet in the 30 to 40 degree night. Your breakfast will be served on time and you won't miss a meal. You will have my undivided attention as I wait to serve you your "after foaling bran mash." Your dinner will be served not long after the foaling is complete and we will all sleep better at night." Alegria must have listened. "The talk" works here at Bint Al Bahr! 14 of my last 17 foalings have been daylight foalings. These comfort loving Babsons are wonderful! |
